Taos + Chimayó Pilgrimage Extension
Tuesday June 8- Thursday June 10
For those who feel called to continue the journey, we are offering an optional extended pilgrimage through the sacred landscapes of Northern New Mexico following the retreat at Ghost Ranch. This relaxed and intentional extension invites us deeper into reflection, spiritual exploration, community, and connection to the rich cultural and devotional traditions of the region.
Tuesday — Departure from Ghost Ranch
We will depart Ghost Ranch late Tuesday morning and journey north toward Taos. (2hr drive). Along the way, we will visit a Hindu ashram and temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, offering space for quiet reflection, meditation, and exploration of the sacred grounds. After lunch and time at the ashram, we will continue to Taos for a relaxing evening, dinner, and rest.
Wednesday — Pilgrimage to Chimayó
On Wednesday, we will visit El Santuario de Chimayó, one of the most beloved pilgrimage sites in the United States.
Nestled in the village of Chimayó along the High Road to Taos, this historic sanctuary welcomes nearly 300,000 visitors each year and is often referred to as the “Lourdes of America.” The sanctuary is known for its rich spiritual history and healing traditions, including the sacred earth found within its small prayer room — a place many visit seeking prayer, healing, and renewal.
Together, we’ll spend time exploring the sanctuary, the surrounding village, local artisan spaces, and the beauty of Northern New Mexico.
Thursday — Departure
The extended journey will conclude Thursday, with departures available from nearby airports including:
Santa Fe Regional Airport
Taos Regional Airport
Albuquerque International Airport
Additional Details
